With the introduction of the new Garmin TT15X collar, we would like to take the time to give you our first impression of the specs of the new TT15X collar compared with its older version. At first glance, it’s apparent that the shell of the two units is nearly identical.

Since the new Garmin Alpha 10 handheld was released, one of the most frequent questions that we got was, “How does the Garmin Alpha 10 handheld compare to other Garmin handhelds?” In an earlier article, we covered the Garmin Alpha 100 vs Alpha 10 handhelds, but now it’s time to discuss the differences between the Garmin Alpha 10 and the PRO 550 Plus handhelds and help you decide which one would fit your needs the best.

We are going to share some features with you today, how it works, some functionalities, and some of our experiences that we have already had with the device just to give you guys some good information on Garmin’s new product.

With the new release of the Garmin Alpha 10 handheld, we thought it would be the perfect time to compare the Alpha 100 with the new Alpha 10. In our opinion, customers are going to most likely have to decide between the Alpha 100 and Alpha 10 handhelds as they are the most similar in functionality and features.

Garmin just (June 2, 2021) release software update 3.60 for the TT15 Mini and T5 Mini collars. This update included improvements to the GPS function of the collars. Update size 1.11 MB.

Garmin just release (May 11, 2021) software update 4.30 for the TT15 and T5 collars. This update included improvements to the GPS function of the collars. Update size 718KB.

The Garmin Pro 550 Plus software should be kept up-to-date in order to take advantage of improvements and bug fixes. Updates are free, and easy to install. Software updates can be installed through Garmin Express. Garmin Express provides the ability to check for software automatically each time the device is connected to a computer.
