Training Uses
The Shed Antler is intended for experienced shed hunting dogs who are ready to move beyond dummy training. It’s ideal for blind retrieves, retrieves in tall grass or cover, and insight retrieves to sharpen eagerness and focus.
For beginner dogs, we recommend starting with the Dog Bone Rubber Antler Dummy (available in white or brown). The rubber dummy prevents injuries from sharp points and teaches young dogs the correct angles for retrieving before advancing to real antlers.
