    • The Retriev-R-Trainer dummy launcher is the original workhorse of professional and amateur retriever trainers, just like its name says. This launcher throws dummies 2-3 times farther than by hand, great for fetching, steady to shot and marking drills. Metal construction with a ribbed and rubberized easy grip handle. .22 caliber launcher blank ammo provides a report that eliminates the need for a blank pistol and gives you three different distances to throw the Cordura canvas dummy: 150 ft., 175 ft. or 200 ft. depending on the strength of the charge selected. The Basic Kit here comes with 1 box of 100 medium blanks and a white canvas dummy.

      Here’s how it works:

      • Slide either the white Cordura canvas or a PVC dummy (sold separately) over the top barrel
      • Unlock the chamber using the thumb latch and break open the action
      • Load the .22 launcher blank ammo in the chamber the same as you would a .22 single-shot rifle
      • Close the action and lock with the thumb latch
      • To fire, grip the handle firmly with one hand and pull the firing knob at the base of the handle out with the other, the dummy will launch and the report will sound upon release of the knob

Please follow all safety instructions from the manufacturer and treat this piece of training equipment as a firearm, wearing eye and ear protection as well as gloves. Additionally, as the launcher provides a gunfire report, please make sure that the dog is properly conditioned to gunfire prior to use.

The Retriev-R-Trainer does have recoil and we strongly recommend the purchase of the shoulder/hip stock to minimize the impact on your gripping hand

Select three levels of launching distance with our .22 caliber launcher blank ammo

The Cordura canvas dummy is water-resistant and floats, yet there is drying time needed after use to prevent molding. We recommend the PVC dummies for extended water retrieving use

Purchase additional colored Cordura canvas dummies

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM CONTAINS AMMO AND CAN NOT BE SHIPPED OUTSIDE THE USA WITH THE KIT. PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF YOU ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN THE AMMO IN YOUR AREA BEFORE ORDERING.
