The LCS Suitcase Handle Whoa Lead is an essential tool for trainers following the HuntSmith method. Built to reinforce the flank stimulation taught on the Whoa Post, this lead helps transition your dog from yard drills to steady, reliable performance in the field.
When you lift up on the suitcase-style handle, the loop around the dog’s flank tightens, providing consistent correction that mirrors the Whoa Post lesson. If the dog moves after being given the “whoa” command, you can easily return him to the exact spot—an important step in teaching steadiness to shot and honoring another dog’s point.
Constructed from 7/16" blaze orange nylon check cord, the lead is built for visibility and durability in the field. Brass swivel snaps on both ends ensure tangle-free handling, while a floating steel O-ring allows adjustment for different dog sizes and makes it possible to convert the lead into a slip lead. For versatility, simply detach the snap from the O-ring and use it as a standard lead when not training.
