This collar is a dog TRACKING ONLY unit for use with the Garmin Alpha 200i, Garmin Alpha 100, Garmin Alpha 10, Garmin Astro 320, Garmin PRO 550 PLUS, and Garmin Astro 430 handheld devices. Now there is finally an option that allows you to use your Alpha system in field trial events! The T5 features the new GLONASS-enabled receivers that are capable of more accurate detection with higher sensitivity. The collar has remote controlled LED beacon lights. The Garmin Astro T5 Extra Collar Units Come With A Blue Collar Strap! This collar is rugged and water rated up to 32 feet.

Rescue Mode:

• With rescue mode on, the T5 has around a 30 hour battery life.
• 5 second update rate means around 13 hours (before battery reaches 25%).
• When battery reaches 25%, rescue mode changes the update rate to 2 minutes.
• 2 minute update rate means about 16 additional hours.
• Total: approximately 30 hours.

Can I pair this collar with my Garmin Alpha?

Yes. You can pair this collar with your Garmin Alpha or Garmin Astro. When paired up with the Alpha 100 or Alpha 200i, you only use the tracking features of the collar.

Can this collar be tracked with my an Garmin Alpha and Garmin Astro simultaneously?

The T5 collar can be tracked by the Alpha 100, Alpha 200i, and Astro 430 handhelds simultaneously, but if the collar is paired with the Astro 320 only the Astro 320 handhelds can track the collar.

Can the collar strap be changed to a different color?

Yes. We can change the blue color strap to one of our available colors.
