On August 2nd Garmin released software updates for the Garmin Alpha 100, Garmin Astro 430, and for the T5 and TT15 GPS collars. These updates can be downloaded to your systems using Garmin's updater: Garmin Express.

Below you will your find the update notes and change log.

    Garmin Alpha 100 Handheld

Changes made from version 6.30 to 6.50:

    • Improved rejection of an unintended collar that has a track-only code that overlaps with that of an intended collar.
    • Improved change ID of a collar by disabling this option until the collar is reliably tracking.
    • Fixed occasional false lost-GPS message at the start of collar tracking.

    Garmin Astro 430 Handheld

Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.70:

    • Added contact tracking (go to Tools->Contacts). Note: Contact tracking allows the Astro 430 to track other handhelds, but it is not able to broadcast its own location.
    • Improved rejection of an unintended collar that has a track-only code that overlaps with that of an intended collar.
    • Improved change ID of a collar by disabling this option until the collar is reliably tracking.
    • Fixed occasional false lost-GPS message at the start of collar tracking.

Garmin T5 and TT15 GPS Collars

Changes made from version 3.10 to 3.40:

    • Prevent false occasional low-battery report from the collar.

    Note:

If you did this update to your T5 and/or TT15 before 8/5/2017, we advise you to re-update your collars. Garmin alerted us to an issue that was brought to their attention on Thursday 8/3, regarding the T5 and TT15 collars dropping off after 50 to 75 yards when paired to a Garmin Astro 320. This issue was quickly fixed and there is currently an updated version of the latest patch in the Garmin Express updater.
