    Yeti Rambler Tumbler 30

Lion Country Supply is proud to be carrying Yeti products, ranging in size and type from an 10 ounce Low Ball to a Tundra 65 cooler. It was only a matter of time until I would have to buy one and join the Yeti club after walking past these products every day, coming in and out of the office. I decided to buy the Yeti Rambler 30 ounce because I stop on my way to work every morning at a local convenience store to get fresh brewed iced tea. The largest cups of tea available are 32 ounce, so the Yeti 30 ounce was the perfect size for what I needed.

    Product Overview

    Yeti Rambler 30

Yeti products are designed to maintain the temperature of liquids, whether they are hot or cold, for a longer period of time. The Rambler uses 18/8 kitchen-grade stainless steel with a double-wall vacuum insulated design. How does the double-wall vacuum insulated design make a difference? In a normal, single layer wall cup, heat and cold are transferred through the walls of the cup, equalizing the liquid's temperature to that of the outside temperature. To combat this, manufactures use insulated layers to limit this transfer. The Yeti's vacuum insulation works the best because in a vacuum, there are no molecules for the heat or cold to transfer their energy through. This allows the liquid to stay closer to its original temperature longer.

Benefits Beyond Staying Cold or Hot Longer

When I bought the Yeti Rambler, I was already aware of its design that helps maintain temperature, but I also noticed some additional benefits. As I previously stated, I purchased the Rambler 30 ounce to use for fresh brewed iced tea, but little did I know that the convenience store I buy it from considers Yeti Ramblers a refill cup, which costs 16 cents less per filling. Therefore, I am saving 16 cents per cup of iced tea. Within a few months, the savings will actually pay for the cost of the Rambler.

On top of saving money per refill, I am also not using the convenience store's plastic cups every time. As a daily tea drinker that is ten cups per week that I am not using. That reduces the amount of trash that I am generating and reduces manufacturing of those cups; saving the environment that little extra bit. It adds up over time. In addition, because the cup is double-walled and insulated, you also do not get condensation on the outside of your drink, so no more wet ring on the desk and no more wet hands after taking a drink.

There were even health benefits to using the Yeti Rambler. Yes, I said health benefits. What could these health benefits be, you might ask? It's quite simple. Drinking through a straw every day can result in air being pumped into your stomach and digestive track. This is known for causing bloating and even pain from the extra air build up. With the Yeti Rambler's spout, I no longer have to use a straw, but still have a great sealing lid that does not spill while in the cup holder of a vehicle. There is also the benefit of not drinking from a plastic cup. Did you know that when drinking from plastic cups, you are also ingesting small amounts of chemicals that are present in the plastics? According to several studies, the BPA in plastics acts as faux-estrogen and can cause chromosomal abnormalities. Finally, using your Yeti as a beverage refill container, you can have peace of mind in knowing that your container is clean and not contaminated with bacteria or other chemicals during packaging, handling, or storage.
