After feedback and revisions, our shotgun primer inserts are flawless in performance. They fit into the chamber easily, and require no force or manipulation to remove. The 209 primers drop in and out of the insert easily. After discharging the 209 primer, turning the insert upside down will dislodge the spent primer, no tools needed. If you are looking for a training tool to help save money, here is one solution. With a small investment, you can use 209 primers instead of blanks. I cannot recommend RIO primers as of yet, but I can recommend Federal, Cheddite, CCI and Remington.
