Garmin T5 Mini and TT15 Mini Software Update 3.90

Garmin on December 1, 2022 release software update version 3.90 for the Garmin TT15 Mini and T5 Mini collars. This update fixed an issue that caused corruption of the device ID after a performing a factory reset. The software update can be found on Garmin Express. An “Update Importance Level” was not given for this update; therefore we will default into calling this a “recommended” update.

*Note: This update only applies to the TT15 Mini and T5 Mini collars.

How to update your TT15 Mini or T5 Mini collar:

1. Have Garmin Express installed on your computer.
2. Connect the collar to the computer with the appropriate USB cable. Note: Avoid using splitters during this step.
3. Garmin Express will be automatically be launched during the installation process.
4. Select the desired Garmin product or click “Add a Device” and follow the on-screen prompts if your device is not listed.
5. Garmin Express will display the available updates.
6. Click Install or Install All to install all the updates for that device.
7. Review the Terms and Conditions and click “Accept” to proceed.
8. Review the important notes before continuing to ensure the software update installs smoothly. Click “Continue”.
9. Once the update starts, Garmin Express will display the current progress of the update.
10. Once the update is completed, you will see an “Updates complete” message when finished.
11. Once the update is complete, disconnect the collar from the computer and power it on to make sure the software updates install successfully.

Tip: We like to have the device and its handheld acquire satellite signal after installing an update to ensure connectivity before putting your collar on a dog for their next outing.
