Introducing the new Garmin Sport PRO E-Collar System.

    Video Transcript:

Hi, I’m Dave from Lion Country Supply. Today I am here to talk to you about an exciting new e-collar from Garmin Tri-Tronics, and that is the Garmin Sport PRO E-collar. This unit is basically replacing the old Tri-Tronics Sport Basic e-collar, which was one of Lion Country best-selling units for years.

It has the familiar wheel on it, and some very easy to use buttons. Whether you looking for your first e-collar or looking to replace your existing collar. We here at Lion Country can help you before and after the sale. You will receive your e-collar completely set up and we can help you with any questions after you purchase your e-collar. This is the kind of service that you grow to except and will get from Lion Country Supply. Let’s see the big box store and any of the online internet giants do that for you.

Let’s take a look at some of the features. As I just said, it has the quick dial with very positive contact. You can choose from one of 10 stimulation levels. It also has an auxiliary setting and we will take about those auxiliary option in a moment and has a lock mode so that you can’t accidently stimulate your dog. This make for a very simple and intuitive, no look one hand operation. It is very small and light. Both the handheld and the collar are very well designed and very rigid.

On the handheld itself you’ll notice there are four buttons, pretty basic. The top large button is continuous stimulation, the next button down is the momentary, and then you will see to small buttons at the bottom. Those are for vibration or for tone. Now I mentioned that there is an auxiliary setting, when you have the dial set on auxiliary, those two little buttons at the bottom do an unique thing. Press one of them and you get a beacon light comes on the collar, so if you want to locate your dog at night, it’s a very bright LED lights. You can turn it off with the tone button.

The other feature this collar has is a bark limiter, so if you have a barking dog it can be controlled with the stimulation on this collar. The continuous and momentary buttons while on auxiliary take care of those functions.

The unit has about a 3/4 mile range for stimulation. It has a very long lasting rechargeable and user replaceable lithium-ion batteries in both the handheld and in the collar. Garmin says that they will last up to 60 hours. On both the handheld and the collar there are tri-colored LED lights that will indicate battery level from green, to amber, to red depending on the level that the battery is at. You can add up to three dogs to this handheld, and control the dogs separately with the toggle switch at the top.

The collar included two sets of contacts, short ones and long ones. So depending on the thickness of the fur on your dog’s neck, you can change those out. It is very tough and water resistant design as I mentioned earlier and it comes with a ¾ inch nylon strap in black.

So in summary, the Sport PRO by Garmin Tri-Tronics is very intuitive, easy to use, and can used by anyone to train up to three dogs. It is compact and light weight. And is packed full with a lot of features, including bark limited that I mentioned, beacon lights on the front, and three-quarter mile range.
