Here in North Central PA we are experiencing record low temps and with that, working hard to keep our dogs comfortable. In addition to a draft free box with plenty of dry fluffy straw, It is very important to make sure that the dogs stay hydrated and are given extra food to make up for the calories burned staying warm. I have found that I can kill two birds with one stone by using a little bit of the Annamaet Dog . I make a gravy/broth with warm water using the impact and pour it over dry kibble. When the temps get below 10 degrees I have been feeding my hounds twice a day. I am able to get them each to drink almost a quart of water at each feeding and when they get that twice a day I am sure they are getting what they need to be as comfortable as possible.
