With a kennel full of Beagles and hounds it can get pretty noisy. I have used quite a few different methods of bark control over the years, but I have the best luck with the bark collars. Of all the bark collars I have used I prefer the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter. With The Bark Limiters five correction levels, I am in charge of how "ot? or "asy? the correction will be, I do not want him to get a couple barks out before the collar power is strong enough to stop him, I want the dog corrected at the first bark. The Bark limiter also has a bark counter that lets you know if you need to give a higher level. I have found the batteries to last about 18 months. I have heard folks say that a bark collar is no good on hounds, since they naturally bark at pursued game. I have found that to be not true - the bark collar will not affect the hounr's use of mouth on trail.
