Garmin Sport PRO vs. Sport Basic

November 16, 2015 1 min read

We at Lion Country Supply are very excited about the new Sport Pro by Garmin/Tri-Tronics. It is essentially an updated version on the venerable Tritronics Sport Basic. We sold a ton of these units and plenty of people are still using them. If you like your Sport Basic, you are going to love the Garmin Sport PRO, which pairs with a 3/4 mile collar and includes interchangeable long and short contact points.

The Garmin Sport Pro has all the familiar features you have come to appreciate such as a dial selector and toggle switch that allows easy transfer between 3 dogs, but was also redesigned to include a spine mount that you can attach a Garmin Carabiner Clip or another compatible accessory to.This new Sport Pro has been updated to include LED beacon lights that can be turned on remotely. It also has a built-in BarkLimiter, which is a necessity for those barking dogs in the dog boxes back at the truck or in a motel room while on the road. The GarminSport PRO has continuous and momentary stimulation, tone and vibration buttons on the face, and it's very intuitive and easy to use without looking at the transmitter.

If you've been using a Tri-Tronics Sport Basic you should strongly consider upgrading to the new Garmin Sport PRO. We have no doubt that you'll love!
