Written by Randy Acker, DVM, this is a thorough guide that can be easily carried in the field or stored in your canine first aid kit. It cover a broad range of ailments you might expect your dog to confront in the field, and provides a quick and clear explanation on how to treat each. We really like the list of "must have" tools and over-the-counter drugs on treatments that should be added to any canine first aid kit. This is an invaluable resource.

|Must have quick reference guide!|
|I bought this book several years ago after my first Vizsla ran through barbed wired in a remote location. She has gone on to run through another barbed fence and then cut her leg very near an artery on oyster shell at the coast. This book literally helped me save her life after the oyster shell incident. Plus Iíve avoided several costly vet visits. Most recently, I used it to become quite adept at bandaging a paw laceration on my male V. It is very simple, and easy to follow for the beginner learning field dog first aid. Itís also small enough to go along in our first aid kit. We never leave home without it.|
