Real shed antler, ideal for final training phase and year-round refreshers. Antler has full pedicle without any cutoff tines which causes unrealistic “burnt” smell.
The Real Shed Antler is the prefect training tool for moving into the final stages of shed training. The closest thing you can get to a wild antler shed. The read shed antler works great for fetching retrieves, getting the dog use to the feeling of a real antler, as well as blind finds.
We suggest not introducing your dog or pup to the real shed antler at first. A dog new to shed hunting maybe come into the retrieve too hard and be poked by the horn tips or bite too hard onto the antler, turning the dog off from shed hunting. We recommend introducing new dogs to the shed training dummy first to get your dog use to retrieving before progressing to the hard real antler.
For the most realistic blind retrieves, use rack wash to remove all human scents and then using antler scent on the antler will insure the dog is tracking only the scent of the antler.
NOT meant to be used as a chew toy. Dummies and sheds should only be used as training tools while training.
