  • LCS Handmade Canadian Low Tone Bell - Staff Review

The LCS Handmade Canadian Low Tone bell is one of my personal favorites and may be one of our bestselling bells, this is not an accident. After years of shooting and listening to loud music I cannot hear high tones very well and certainly not at any distance. This bell is what I would consider a clanker meaning the sound is kind of dull where you would think of bell being musical. When I was looking for a bell to put on my young hounds, I had to pay very close attention to the physical size as well as the tone. Our little hounds cannot take a very big bell and keep it off the ground. At 1 " 1 - this bell is perfect for even my smallest hound. The strap across the top is wide enough I can easily slip it over any " collar strap and do not have to worry about zip ties or hooks breaking and dropping my bell. While the bell was perfect for almost all I needed it for, I noticed that it would load up with snow at times and be rendered mute. After a lot of thoughts on what to do about this problem. We came up with the idea to extend the clapper in hopes it would brush the ground/snow pack and help knock the snow out preventing build up. Wouldn't you know-It worked!
